Brand new for 2025, AfPP are running online workshops. These are smaller, more intimate and interactive than our webinars, featuring a new breakout room opportunity.

Workshops are available to all members and non-members, presenting a chance to learn and actively engage with other perioperative professionals. 

Topics covered are integral to perioperative practice, and of real value to the perioperative community.

Who is the Workshop for?

The workshop is for L1 (native English) and L2 (non-native English) speakers.

Objectives:

By the end of this Workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify language that can be difficult for people who speak English as an additional language
  • Demonstrate a more inclusive use of language particularly with regard to speed, politeness etc
  • Facilitate clearer online communication/phone calls
  • Evaluate differences within internationally diverse groups that might affect cohesion and collaboration (eg time-keeping and feedback)
  • Assess how language affects identity and staff well-being
