Exciting news: AfPP publications are going 100% digital!

Written by Susan Preston

We are pleased to share an important update about AfPP publications. From April 1st, 2025, both The Journal of Perioperative Practice (JPP) and the Innovation, People and Practice (IPP) Magazine will transition to being 100% digital.

This decision reflects our commitment to sustainability and supports the healthcare sector’s goals for net-zero carbon emissions. By moving to digital-only formats, we aim to:

  • Reduce Environmental Impact: Eliminating print copies significantly reduces paper waste, energy consumption, and emissions associated with production and distribution.

  • Support Sustainability: This is another step in AfPP’s ongoing efforts to foster greener practices within perioperative care and beyond.

  • Meet Member Preferences: Most of our members already access these publications digitally, enabling easier, instant access on your preferred device wherever you are.

For those who prefer physical copies, you will still have the option to download a digital version through PageSuite, which can be printed and placed in hospital coffee rooms or shared as needed.

As we embrace this new chapter, rest assured you’ll continue to enjoy the same high-quality, thought-provoking content, enhanced with interactive features that make your reading experience even better.
Together, we can make a meaningful contribution to protecting our environment while staying at the forefront of perioperative practice and innovation.
