We’re expanding our national team of consultants and are looking for experienced healthcare professionals to help drive patient safety and excellence in surgical theatres across the UK.
As an AfPP Consultant, you’ll support improvement, nurture growth and inspire excellence, empowering theatre teams to deliver the very highest standards of patient safety.
Is This You?
- Can you review clinical practice and identify key areas for quality improvement?
- Are you experienced in auditing and measuring specific clinical issues within the operating theatre?
- Do you understand the governance frameworks that underpin safe and effective theatre practice?
If yes, you could be exactly who we’re looking for to support AfPP’s growing portfolio of commercial consultancy work.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who are:
- AfPP members with a strong understanding of our Standards & Recommendations for Safe Perioperative Practice
- Working at Level 6 or above
- Registered with HCPC or NMC
- Experienced in internal audit processes within your own hospital or Trust.
About the Role
AfPP Consultants are key to our theatre audit and accreditation programme. You’ll conduct peer reviews across NHS and independent theatres using AfPP’s Perioperative Audit Tool, assessing practice, identifying improvements and supporting theatre teams on their journey to achieving the highest standards of patient safety.
Full training will be provided for successful applicants.
