We’re passionate about patient safety and aim to support practitioners at every stage of their career.  Read about AfPP’s range of awards and see if any of them grab your attention. The application process is simple. AfPP decides who the recipients of the awards and bursaries are, and as long as you meet the criteria it could be you!

Volunteer Award

 

AfPP members can receive funding of £1,000 to put their skills to good use on overseas voluntary projects. The volunteer award in memory of Hilda Mears is granted to two perioperative practitioners per year, each receiving £1,000 to assist them in undertaking their volunteer role.

Novice Writer Award

 

Writers who have a first article published in the Journal of Perioperative Practice (JPP) between January and December are automatically entered by AfPP for this award. 

The winner is selected by the review panel of the JPP.

Perioperative Team of the Year

 

A bursary of up to £2,000 sponsored by Swann Morton in memory of Siobhan Rankin. This award is for theatre teams of up to 15 individuals working in the perioperative environment.

The winning team will be awarded an educational bursary of up to £2,000 to be used within a designated 12 month period.Swann-Morton logo

First Time Attendee Award

 

AfPP are offering a limited number of free places to the AfPP Annual Conference for first time attendees.

You need to be an AfPP member to qualify.

 

Education and Research Fellowship Fund

 

A bursary of up to £2,000 is available to all AfPP members to assist with fees, research, study days, training courses and conferences. A great opportunity to advance the study of perioperative practice and promote excellence.
