The Specialist Interest Group (SIG) lead plays a pivotal role in supporting the Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP) by leading and coordinating the activities of the SIG and online Forum.
Fostering professional engagement, facilitating networking opportunities, supporting members and promoting high standards of perioperative practice.
The role will include leading the online forum, sharing specialised knowledge and exchanging ideas as topic moderators (posting new topics weekly), and managing topic threads by encouraging member activity.

The post holder will have a background in surgery, anaesthesia or perioperative care and will lead activity to strengthen health worker capacity in safe surgery. This is a fantastic opportunity for a volunteer interested in global health with experience in surgery and low resource settings to be involved in an exciting new phase of work in the DRC.
