Volunteer Award
Funding of £1,000 in memory of Hilda Winifred Mears
A former member of AfPP, Hilda Winifred Mears held a significant number of perioperative posts both within the UK and abroad. After her death in 2008 Hilda left a valued legacy to AfPP which is used to fund our Volunteer Award.
AfPP members can receive funding of £1,000 to put their skills to good use on overseas voluntary projects. The volunteer award is granted to two perioperative practitioners per year, each receiving £1,000 to assist them in undertaking their volunteer role.
